what is a junior disco like?
The junior disco is an evening of entertainment especially tailored to our 5-11 year old junior crowd.
We play all the kids' favourite songs, as well as some of the party classics you might remember from your own youth. The DJ also takes requests on the night, or you can contact us in advance to submit your child’s favourite song via our website or on our facebook page.
Our street dance instructor will get the kids up and moving, giving them a chance to learn some cool new moves or just show off their own original moves. Britain’s Got Talent - watch out!
To complete the party experience, kids will get an LED disco accessory to keep, there will be confetti fireworks, competitions and prizes to be won.
A great thing to do with a friend or two, and who knows? they might go home with a few new ones too.
what do our street-dancing divas and break-dancing boys like best?
Your questions answered
Parents’ questions answered....
What age group is the junior disco for?
The junior disco is especially for kids aged 5 - 11. If your children have siblings who are just outside this age bracket then of course feel free to send them along too, but the aim is that the older kids get the chance to dance without having to be too careful of the really little ones, and of course so that they feel uninhibited enough to just take part and enjoy being with kids of their own age.
How much are the tickets?
Click here for latest date and ticket prices.
What time does it start again?
The DJ starts playing at the advertised start time, on the dot. Please try to be there in plenty of time but not too early – doors (and bar!) open 10 minutes before the advertised start time.
Do I need to let you know if my child can no longer make it?
Sadly tickets purchased online are non-refundable, but names are transferable. So, if you know in advance that you can’t make it, then you can change the name on the ticket by going back to your original booking.
Do I have to stay with the children?
Parents/Carers must be on site at all times and they are responsible for their children. You are very welcome to hang out in the disco room itself (if your child will let you!) If not, you can enjoy a drink or something to eat in our parents creche (bar) on site.
Kids' Questions answered...
What should I wear?
Wear whatever makes you feel like dancing!
Can I have a snack?
Water and plastic glasses are available for kids to help themselves and soft drinks and bar snacks are available for sale at the bar.
What if I need my mum/dad during the disco?
We will not let any children leave the venue unattended during the disco, so if you don’t want your parents hanging around in the disco itself, they can wait in our parents creche next door, where they can have a drink with the other parents, or if they choose to wait downstairs in the bar, then it’s best to ask them to come and check on you every now and again.
Can my older/younger brother/sister come?
If your brother or sister is 4 or 12 and they would really like to come to the disco, then why not!
Spinning the tunes they love this is the perfect chance for 5-11 year olds to strut their stuff and burn off some energy without the parents cramping their style (or the toddlers for that matter!). Parents, let us entertain them whilst you enjoy a relaxing drink in our parents’ lounge or downstairs in the pub.
"Having been persuaded by my children (8 and 6) to take them, and a couple of their friends, along to Junior Disco, I can honestly say that we ALL enjoyed ourselves! I had a relaxing drink with my friends, knowing that the kids were safe upstairs having a great time. On the few occasions I did pop in (before being told by them to go away again!) they were concentrating intently on the street dance instrutctor, comparing cool glitter tattoos, and just freestyling to the music. A really easy and fun way to spend a Saturday evening! Without a hideously late night, we were all no worse for wear on Sunday morning!"
Deborah, 21 (and a bit)
"It was really fun to go to the disco with my friends and the DJ played 'the best song ever'"
"The street dance teacher was cool and she taught us the baby freeze and the 6 step"
"I thought my glitter tattoo was awesome and the music was really good, I didn't want to go home at the end"
